Anyone else in complete awe that we’re well into the holidays and just a couple weeks away from 2018? I say it at the close of every year but really, where did 2017 go? So much happened over the last 12 months — some good, some bad, some happy, some sad… And though it’s bittersweet to say goodbye to 2017 and hello to 2018, I’m ready.
There’s always been this unspoken pressure and stress to do something above-and-beyond for New Year’s Eve. I really do love the whole idea behind a blow-out party to celebrate the New Year. Sparkle, confetti, getting dolled up for a night of champagne cocktails (my fave) and usually some sort of ridiculous dancing, singing at the top of your lungs and of course, the countdown and kiss.
Merry Monday, everyone! We made it home from vacation late last night and I’m having serious sunshine withdrawal. The holidays in Hawaii should be an annual thing, don’t you think?
We had a very Maui Christmas with loads of fun in the sun including a trip to Haleakala National Park to watch the sunrise over the clouds, a gorgeous 30-mile bike ride down a mountain, a muddy ATV adventure plus a swim in a freshwater pond, many hours of R&R poolside, too many cocktails to count, a seaside gemstone massage at the spa, the best seafood you’ve ever tasted and yes, a few shopping trips to boot. The trip flew by and I’m having trouble coming back to reality. I never want vacations to end! Here are a few pics of the trip plus more holiday happenings.
