To say life has been busy lately would be the biggest understatement of the century. Between work deadlines, motherhood, travel, home projects and everything in between, May was just the busiest month! And on that note… how is it already June?! I’m gearing up for the months ahead and getting my wardrobe ready for lots of days in the hot summer sun. Since having my son, I’ve now lost a total of 50 lbs (thank you paleo!) — which is AMAZING for my health, confidence, energy level and overall habits but it’s also a challenge when it comes to getting dressed everyday. Some of my favorite pieces are now too big or just fit awkwardly so I’ve found myself grabbing new silhouettes off the racks. It feels good to feel good about the way I look again and I’m grateful to have taken the time and effort I needed to put myself first.
I’ve talked about the evolution of my style over the years and one of the elements that continues to grow in my closet is color. For years, my closet was overwhelmingly filled with black clothes. And while I still love an all-black ensemble, I have learned to express myself in happy, bright and beautiful shades that bring out my personality. So when the seasons warm and there’s a lot of time spent in the sunshine, I find myself yearning for more color. And bright tassels are everywhere this spring — a hot trend I absolutely LOVE! So today I’m sharing this fun tiered tank plus 12 of my favorite fiesta-inspired tassel tops for Cinco de Mayo!
