Hello lovelies! My, what a week this has been. Am I right or am I right? (Insert eye roll and sigh here.) I am SO ready for this weekend — and for Thrive! I’m heading to the Woodlands early tomorrow afternoon for a little pre-conference pampering then it’s a busy few days of networking and learning. Cannot wait! And to put off packing just a little while longer, I’m kicking off a new series on L. Rose tonight which I’ve appropriately named Friday Eve Favorites. I’m super excited about this series, in which I’ll share some of my current favorites in various categories (think top fashion picks, baby buys, seasonal must-haves, gift ideas, etc.) and share them with you! And for this first Friday Eve Favorites, I’ve rounded up my favorite spring storage solutions.
I’ve seen lots of really beautiful, useful (and oftentimes very affordable) spring storage options right now. And this round-up features a few of my top picks! I love filling pretty bowls with fresh citrus, and those gold wire baskets are calling my name. I also really love the functionality of the brightly-colored handwoven basket with the lid for a playroom or nursery. Perhaps it could even double as a hamper!
I have a few raffia baskets too and just LOVE them. They are soft but durable and I love to mix and match them!
In our home, you’ll also find lots of baskets used to gather those unsightly primary-colored toys that are so generously scattered across every room. I find that throwing everything in a basket keeps me sane while decluttering and organizing our home in a manageable, functional way. Little man can still get his tiny hands in the bins to grab the toy his heart desires, while mommy can rest easy knowing that at the end of the day, all of those toys will have a home right back in that pretty little basket tucked under the console table.
I also use baskets for blankets near the couch, to hold extra toiletries in the guest bath, or for storing items neatly in the laundry room, kitchen or pantry. In fact, I usually move my baskets around the house to find a new, different arrangement or function for them — I even did so earlier this week! You could also use some pretty, decorative boxes, bins or chests as storage solutions for spring. But baskets tend to be my personal favorite.
And on that note, I guess it’s time for me to get serious about some spring cleaning around the house… Time to tackle those closet spaces and send off some donations! How are you prepping your home to stay organized this spring?
