Fall is here (sort of) and that means I’m breaking out my wardrobe boxes that have been patiently waiting on the top shelves of my closet for months and months. Sweater season is my FAVORITE you guys. And no, not just because I get to eat all the pie I want and hide my food baby under a big bulky sweater — though that is most certainly a perk. I just love comfy, cozy, cold weather wear.
I’ve always been drawn to neutrals and while I try to incorporate more color into my wardrobe in the warm weather months, it seems socially acceptable to wear a lot of neutrals and darks in the fall and winter — and I am a-ok with that! I recently took a solo trip (sans kiddo!) to the mall to find some fall options and while at times it was a bit discouraging dressing my new body — I have to keep reminding myself that I had a baby 8 months ago, for goodness sake — it was really refreshing to find some beautiful fall options that make me feel confident yet comfortable at the same time.
I think fall neutrals are perfect for setting the tone for the cold months ahead. Navy, warm caramels, black, greys and army green all fall into my wheelhouse of fall neutral wear. On my wishlist for fall is a great grey pair of booties (how amazing are these!) and a versatile caramel or saddle colored jacket good for layering. Oh, and if I can fit my booty into a pair of faux leather leggings this season, I’m doing it. I’ll call them my fun pants. ;)
I’ve linked all of these fall neutrals below and I’m dying to know, what trends are you loving this season?
