Stay-cation in SA

Rainbow Gardens

Happy Tuesday, friends! Do you know why I’m so happy it’s Tuesday? Because we’re one day closer to having a three-day weekend – woohoo!

With Memorial Day weekend right around the corner, we don’t yet have any major plans in place. I figure it’s the perfect opportunity to explore the city in which we live and love. San Antonio offers a variety of things to do that are relatively inexpensive or even free for families who want a stay-cation. Here are my top picks for the upcoming long weekend. Having lived here since I was three years old, I am still discovering new hidden gems and little surprises in this lively city.

For Saturday – Rainbow Gardens Rain Barrel Workshop

Pearl Farmers Market

For Sunday – Pearl Farmer’s Market – Yes, they now have it on Sunday’s too!

San Pedro Springs Park - www.ruthieandrose.com

For Monday – San Pedro Springs Park and Pool

The city’s website also has a great list of free attractions in the area too. With tons of parks (including off-leash dog parks), a brand new children’s museum (coming soon) and some of the best Tex-Mex in every nook and cranny, SA is home for our family and I can’t wait to discover more of it!

Happy upcoming Memorial Day weekend – how are you celebrating your freedom?
