Peachy Keen Spring

A little rain goes a long way here in South Texas and with how beautiful this weekend turned out, we spent a good amount of time enjoying our outdoor space. Everything is turning a beautiful bright shade of green and it got me thinking about playing with color. I’ve learned over time that there are certain colors I love, but when it comes to fashion, I have to find just the right shade or else it does me no good.

Peach is one of those colors. From bright shades like coral and tangerine to more subdued hues like rosy taupe and apricot, peach is a color I find difficult to wear – if it’s the wrong shade. However, when you find the right one – it makes a world of a difference and helps rather than hurts.

I shopped for this chiffon-like top back in January around my birthday and I’ve waited for the perfect spring weather to come along so I can enjoy the light material and short sleeves. And hopefully you agree – I think this shade of peach is just perfect!

What about you – is there a color where only a certain shade works for you? Or are you one of the lucky ones where everything looks good on you? (Don’t worry – we might be jealous, but we won’t hate!) I’d love to know. You would think by the time you’re (gulp) almost thirty you would know exactly what colors do and don’t work, but I’m still a work in progress and it seems there’s always something new to learn!

  • This peach is beautiful on you, and I loved how you paired it with white pants! I unfortunately can’t pull of any single pastel shade. Black & brown on the other hand are actually the colors that works best for me. I know, how boring?

    • Thanks Michelle – you’re too sweet! We <3 black and brown! Those are the perfect colors to play around with colorful accessories. Plus you're attitude is really what makes the outfit – and that is certainly not boring! :)
