Link Love

At Thrive Blog Conference last month, we had the great pleasure of listening to several local bloggers share their journeys in blogging. We walked away from the weekend feeling more inspired than ever and have put a lot of the practices we learned into action (more to come on that another day). It’s been really refreshing to bring some new ideas, strategy and energy into Ruthie & Rose, but the truth is, we are learning from the best. And what better way to continue sharing and learning than by showing some serious love for those bloggers we admire most!

We’re long overdue for a “Link Love” post, so I wanted to take a minute to share a few of my current favorites, all of whom we met at Thrive.

First up, three incredibly talented bloggers who spoke at the conference. Ashley of Fancy Ashley, Caroline of House of Harper and Sarah of Pretty Providence all have created a defined brand and blog aesthetic, which is incredibly inspiring — sharing everything from style to family to affordable finds to DIY and more.

They all have very distinctly different paths in blogging but shared the commonality of always staying true to yourself in the messy mess of life and blogging. It’s a simple notion that’s tough to tackle — and it’s been the biggest lesson of all from these three. Share what you love, what inspires you, what you find meaning in, what you want others to enjoy, and it will all just come naturally. We read these leading ladies’ blogs religiously and love that they are Texans, like us!

Next up, a few other local bloggers (and new-found friends!) who we just adore. These ladies have darling blogs and we’re so happy our paths connected at Thrive.

Alice of the Lone Star Looking Glass has the most adorable, chic style and is as sweet as can be. We love following her outfit posts — isn’t her smile just infectious? Amber of In the Loop sat at our table at Thrive and we were fast friends! Many of her blog posts include snapshots with her dog Barkley and let’s face it, who can pass up a cute puppy pic?! Then we have the fine ladies of Moms Without Answers, Channing and Michelle. We’ve known these gals virtually for some time, but meeting them in person was certainly the cherry on top! They are just as incredible as we imagined and are full of spunk and sass — and we love it.

Go show these gals some love! I’m sure you’ll fall in love with their blogs just as quickly as I did.
