DIY: Chore Chart

chore2

Getting my almost five-year-old to pick up his toys after he’s done playing is not always an easy task. Okay, let’s be real, it’s almost never an easy task! But now that he’s getting a little older, we’re trying to instill the value of taking responsibility and caring for his things.

Next step is the big “A” – Allowance. I decided I wanted to make him a chore chart. I want it to be something special for him – so he can feel the reward of checking the task off the list and earning a little money too. Pinterest to the rescue!

I can’t yet decide which one is my favorite – but I’m loving the charts with magnets. Do you have a chore chart for your little one? Would love to hear your ideas for a simple but effective way to get my preschooler excited about helping out around the house!
