Happy hump day, friends! Seems like this week is just flying by and that is a-ok with me. I have been in serious home decor mode lately, getting the new apartment organized and pretty. There are still a few finishing touches that need some work but overall, I’m pleased with the way it’s turning out.
Of course, it’s not our forever home — we still have our hearts set on finding a home to call our own in the next several months. And that’s what really gets me excited! I love the idea of house-hunting (even if the homes that we fall in love with are wayyyy out of our price range). It’s so fun to get design inspiration and learn what you really like, dislike and need in a home.
For me, I tend to gravitate toward neutrals with pops of color and that’s exactly what I love about art too. Sleak, clean frames with inspirational prints, photos, abstracts or words of wisdom. I’ve had a serious crush on Gray Malin lately and have been swooning over the many stunning photographs that capture a single moment in the most beautiful way. Aerial shots of beaches, deserts, mountains… I’ve never seen anything like it and I’m totally in love. Here are a few of the pieces I’ve been eying. I can picture them situated at the end of a hallway, in a gallery wall, or above a mantel as a great focal point of a room. PS, beyond jealous that this photo is on its way to Julia of Lemon Stripes! We all know she’ll style it perfectly.
I think I may have to wait to purchase until we find our home, but at least I can grab some great inspiration in the meantime. Aren’t these just gorgeous?
