Cocktail Hour: Birthday Sprinkles

Birthday-Cake-Martini

With my birthday less than a week away, all I can think about is presents, celebrations and cocktails! Plans this year will be simple yet special — dinner with my husband at one of our favorite restaurants and a girls night out a few days later. After all, a birthday should last far more than just one day.

And in preparation for GNO, I’ve been on the search for the perfect birthday drink. I originally had my mind set on a champagne cocktail (I do love my bubbles) but then I came across this divine, darling birthday cake martini that I simply could not forget. Rainbow sprinkles on the rim… Sold!

I’ll be stocking up on the ingredients so I can raise a glass with my girlfriends and toast to the final year of my 20s. Who needs a birthday cake anyway when you can drink it in a martini with sprinkles? Bottoms up!

Birthday Cake Martini
(yields one cocktail)

– 1 oz. Amaretto
– 1 1/2 oz. Smirnoff Iced Cake Vodka
– 1 1/2 oz. Coco Lopez
– 1 oz Half & Half
– Honey
– Rainbow sprinkles

Rim a martini glass with honey and dip in rainbow sprinkles. Then combine amaretto, vodka, Coco Lopez and half & half in a shaker with ice. Shake until well chilled. Strain into prepared martini glass and enjoy!
