DIY: Menu Board

diy MENU board

One thing I really try hard to do for my family is meal plan. It’s easier said than done, but I’m hoping that a little diy inspiration from Pinterest this weekend will help to create easy go-to menus for the week that can simplify dinnertime.

Evenings always seem so short, so if I can spend less time in the kitchen trying to determine what’s for dinner and more time with my boys – then all the better!

This fun menu board is bright, colorful and easy to read – the best part is you can recycle an old, worn out cookie sheet as your backdrop.

Some whimsical scrapbook accents bring character and you can customize patterns and typefaces to your preferences. Visit your local hobby store for any supplies you’ll need. Double sided photo tape will be your best friend when working to affix pieces for a seamless look. For easy hanging, use the innovative 3M wall strips. They’ll stick the cookie sheet to your fridge or nearby wall and they won’t leave any marks or require using any tools.

I can’t wait to get started on mine! I always have extra little note pads around to use for my shopping list (when I’m not digitally creating one on my Cozi app) and can easily place them on the menu board with some double sided tape.

So when you’re in a pinch of what to have for dinner for the week, simply pull out your pre-planned meal labels and plan your grocery list around that! Just remember that you can always have old favorites to choose from, but don’t forget to mix in new recipes – some of which will surely become family faves.

How do you plan out your weekly meal schedule? I’d love to hear about it!
